⚖️ Regulatory Alert
The key change for cooperatives:
🔑 Regulatory change
The reform brings savings and credit cooperatives that carry out regular financial intermediation and whose equity is below C$100 million under the supervision of CONAMI. This means CONAMI will supervise their AML/CFT/CPF prevention systems, and their manuals must be updated to meet the new requirements.
📌 CONAMI is empowered to exercise prudential regulation over the regulated entities under its supervision, adopting a comprehensive risk management approach that includes credit, liquidity, market, operational, legal and reputational risks.
